Why do we always blame the top fighter for boring LNP decisions?

I'm not a huge fan of boring LNP fighters, but you seldom ever see critisicm of the bottom fighter for not trying to be active enough or not having enough skill to get out of the position. Let's be honest, it isn't impossible to get even an experienced wrestler out of your guard, it just brings with it some risk. Well guess what, so does fighting. That's why it's called fighting and not risk minimization. So here's my claim, if a fighter is great on his feet, but can't stop the takedown or prevent someone laying on him every round then he's a boring fightrer. Case in point - Antoni Hardonk. May he and his cuddle partner for life Justin McCully burn. Discuss.

there should be a rule if you don't pass the guard within 30 seconds, or at least land clean shots (mccully didnt land 1 clean shot the entire fight) it should be stood up

If they go 10-15 seconds without throwing a good punch, do you put them back on the ground? I think I prefer the yellow card system, since it applies to both standing and ground stalling.

Please show a little respect. Carpets are much more useful.

I look at from both perspectives both fighters should be fighting to end the fight..not stalling or delaying...
