Why do people constantly demand GSP to stand and bang?

its such a lame argument to demand a fighter to completely change his current style just so his opponents might have a fragment of a chance because they can't do squat otherwise. Fuck it, all of GSP's opponents should immediately pull guard to prove that they're man enough to take on GSP's ground game. Do you hear how idiotic that sounds?

Its one of the silliest arguments on these boards. No I'm seriously gonna boo and throw things at the television if Hardy doesn't pull guard. GSP doesn't have shit to prove and his opponents if deserving to be champion should be able to be able to beat GSP at his best. I guess Anderson Silva is a pussy because he's afraid to get subbed if he takes someone down so he just dominates them standing. People find standup more exciting I get it but demanding Silva to dare to go to the ground with every opponent is in the same league of crazyness as calling out GSP.

This statement is very poorly worded.

People want GSP to stand for 2 basic reasons:

1. People don't like GSP, never have. Everyone respects him (except the BJ Cult). But there really aren't that many people who like him. Its just the type of people who seem to be MMA fans don't like guys like GSP.

2. People want to see GSP lose, GSPs control game is pretty damn near the top of the charts, that means when hes on the ground that he has a very small chance of losing. If he stands hes always giving his opponent a punchers chance.
