Why didn't Matt Hughes have the Same reaction when Rich Franklin got TKO?

I remember yesterday someone had an interview posted from Sherk saying he and Hughes were laughing because they were surprised.......it had nothing to do with they were happy, thats just how they react when they see something shocking like that.

Matt seemed to have a much different reaction when Silva caught Rich in the muay thai clinch and basically manhandled the #1 ranked Middleweight in the world in a matter of no time.

I dunno ...that was pretty surprising also...Hughes must have a split personality. Maybe sometimes when he goes to a comedy show he laughs

and sometimes he crys.....

Reason #1- Hughes was sitting with Rich's wife @ that fight. That would've been pretty F'd up if he laughed like he did @ GSP. Reason #2- Matt and Rich are friends. Reason #3- Rich never pwned Matt en route to taking his belt.

the threadstarter makes a valid point, just uses a bad example.

I'm sure Hughes has seen plenty of upset matches and didn't laugh at all of them. Unfortunately I don't think there's a lot of "Matt Hughes reaction footage" of various fights because...well... no one gives a fuck. But this is Sherdog where we fight about petty little shit like those soo

Hughes is kind of an arrogant dick. IMO he laughed at GSP bceause GSP is his archrival, tooled him in their last fight, and hughes got a kick out of seeing him lose to Serra. Hughes doesn't laugh every time he sees an upset; that was a pretty lame excuse Sherk came up with.
