Like most nuthuggers of popular fighters, Penn fans are irrational to the point of retardation when it comes to Penn. Witnessing such blatant stupidity from so many of them is what makes people hate them.
It was a split decision. GSP did nothing to deserve the fight. BJ had round one, round 2 was anyone's guess, and round three was GSP's. I was there live.

Believe me, I was with huge GSP fans, and I was the only Penn fan. Those guys thought GSP DOMINATED the fight. I saw it as Penn by close decision. The only thing GSP did was take him down a few times, which the UFC gives an unnessasary amount of points towards. Other than that, I really didn't see GSP land any real damaging shots.

GSP's face was pulp, that's why Penn fans (like me) can't believe he lost. But, to tell the honest truth, the fight was a coin flip. Pure and simple.

Because many BJ Penn fans are jackasses and a lot of them seem to only be fans of Penn because they think it makes them cool.

I'm not even so sure GSP won round 3. He had 2 takedowns in the round (SOFT takedowns I might add), and literally laid on Penn for the last 2 minutes of the fight. Penn had a sub attempt from the bottom, landed a series of blows from down there, and landed a few strikes on his feet as well. Whoever thinks GSP won round 3 then it was only for the takedowns but I think there should be some distinction made between what a soft takedown is and one that might do damage and in either case they are often way overrated by judges in the UFC.

some people are just haters... they call fans of B.J. "nuthuggers" and hate on him, while for the most part, they "nuthug" another fighter who they are a fan of, who is more likely than not, a less superior fighter than penn... not to say he is the greatest fighter, but he rightly deserves respect.

BJ is one of the best fighters ever.

But this is some of the reason his fans suck

1. They think he is God
2. They make up excuses for all of there losses just like him.
