There's the story about GSP getting his brown from Renzo. It's mentioned very late in the article.
I agree, though, that Diaz would most likely defeat GSP on the mat. But like you said, Tournament BJJ is different than MMA BJJ ("The Octagon ain't the mat"). I think it would be an awesome fight, though. Win or lose, Diaz almost always entertains me with his fights.

Hughes might be able to based on strength thats after he beats the crap out of Diaz to soften him up.

First person to mention Aoki, or anyone besides BJ, GSP or Hughes

Karo, Diego and Diaz are all very young fighters and have great potential. There could be some great long lasting rivalries.
Not sure how Diaz would fare at Pride's 160. Either way he'll be stuck under some serious competition.

The competition is stiff either way but Pride rules and judging would suit him better.

Hughes and GSP could overpower him into a position with a kimura or armbar would be possible. They might even be able to get his back and get the RNC.

I concur. He's gotten no love from teh NSAC, and maybe Japan would suit him better. Whatever pays more is where he should go.

Riggs did say he was surprised on how strong Diaz was. That says something. Especially from a natural HW pretty much.

BJ is the only one IMO. I know GSP and Hughes are the best WW along with BJ but that doesn't mean they're the best at everything.
Diaz is a high Brown Belt on the way to his Black Belt.
I actually give Nick a bigger chance of subbing Hughes than the other way around if they ever fight.
