Yeah yeah I understand now. Um...Yes ofcourse I think anyone on any given day can submit anyone IMO. Randleman proved anything can happen in a fight.

Right, this is the point I'm trying to make as well even if other don;t agree, it's not that Hughes and GSP would submit Diaz, but under the right circumstances they could.

I support Diaz. The kid is 23 and has alot of potential. I think he should go to Pride, make more money and have the rules which are better for him.

In response to an earlier post, GSP is a brown belt as of this summer. I read recently that Renzo Gracie promoted him to brown (either in July or August).

Still, I don't see anyone besides Penn subbing Diaz in a three round fight. I'm sure Hughes and GSP are capable of submitting him, but that doesn't mean it would be likely to happen. I'm sure they could STOP Diaz via some other method, but I doubt they could submit him.

If you're talking about a five round title fight, though.. well that changes things a bit and I could see hughes tapping Diaz in that situation if he didn't TKO him first.

Interesting. I believe it, but Source? I like em both, but after a year of BJJ myself, I think Nick would work GSP on the mat. But the octagon ain't the mat.

Nick Diaz, is just smooth on the ground.
Like everyone has said the best chance for that to happen is Bj. Not doubting Matt or Rush by any means, as they are capable fighters but when it comes to submissions its not anybody on any given night, and on any given bet I'd say the they would beat him by a one sided decision at worst.

sub him....

The only fighters at 170 that might be able are BJ and Aoki.

Hughes might be able to based on strength thats after he beats the crap out of Diaz to soften him up.

I agree with people on BJ and Hughes. Bj is just the manon the ground, Hughes might be able to beat Diaz enough to where he could get a submission. I don't think Nick would fight Royce if the oppurtunity presented itself, and I know Royce wouldn't take the fight.
