Diaz has mad submission defence... Im not sure if any 1 could, altho Penn would probably come the closest... Both Hughes and GSP could probably beat him down tho... Big call, Diaz is a tuff mofo

They really are the elite 3 right now (for their division)

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing, BJ, GSP, Hughes. The top 3 all have enough all around skills to submit Diaz. BJ obviously could considering he's a BJJ black belt. Hughes has finished more fights by submission than many would think for a wrestler/GnP practitioner, including his fight against GSP which many did not expect. GSP has also finished several of his fights by submission, plus his strength and athleticism would allow him to control Diaz enough to pull off a submission IMO.

absolutely, i really don't see how he could be finished, he's so slick and smooth and versed in bjj that it would be nearly impossible to submit him, same goes for gnp stoppage, and he has good technical standup and a great chin which is why it is unlikely for him to be ko'ed, he can pretty much only lose questionable decisions

You're right, that didn't exactly sound right. I guess what I meant to say I think GSP and Hughes are both stronger, faster, and more athletic than Diaz, and therefore would be able to submit if the opportunity presented itself.

But the opportunity wouldn't present itself. Except for his first fight when he was 18, Nick has been extremely hard to finish. They could beat him sure, with GnP of course, but submission wouldn't work. Could you actually picture Nick tapping? I can't, except to BJ by RNC.
