Icon13 who is John Alessio??

Why are they feeding this guy who is 0-1 to Sanchez coming off a win over Nick Diaz? I thought we were going to see him get challenged this time around.

he's 0-1 in the ufc, his overall record is 16-7

I agree that Diego will beat him, probably pretty easily. But they had to get a Canadian so that it would fit in for the PPV. I still think he should face Goulet, dispite his loss to Bang.

WTF are you talking about? He's an established fighter who isnt 0-1, but 16-7. Someone also posted the other day that they saw him training for this fight and he looks to be in great shape and looking good. Do some research before you post.

I agree, Goulet woulda been a much better choice. He wasn't even hurt after his fight with Bang.

He's a pretty good fighter with some solid wins under his belt.

Since losing to Pat Miletech and Joe Doerkson in 2000, Alessio is 10-2. In that span, he's beaten Thomas Denny, Chris Brennan, and Ronald Jhun. His only two losses being to Goulet and Jason Black by decision (the one to Black a split decision).

I just got done watching his TKO win over Brennan the other day. Showed some decent stand-up, solid jab, staggered Brennan with a punch, and then had him covered up taking combinations against the cage, forcing the ref to stop it.

Well, the NSAC thought he was and he was medically suspended past the date for this PPV, so he couldn't fight even if he wanted to.

Yeah, well he's an "established" fighter. Pat Militech, Chris Brennan are both fighters with a lot of experience, so if anyone is expecting this to be a walk in the park for Diego, they're sadly mistaken. I think Diego will win the fight, cause honestly, at this point, the UFC isn't gonna book him in a fight with someone who can walk through their little golden boy. Anything is possible though, and if Diego lets his ego get the better of him, he's gonna get stomped. On a side note, most fighters that people have questions about, have been discussed to death on here, so a simple click of the "search" button will work wonders, that's all I'm saying. This is exactly why there are 100 threads/week about fighters like Ryoto Machida. No big deal, just reitterating what others have constantly said.
