With Randy v Gonzaga at 74 we have yet to see who will get the winner.
Crocop v Nog will happen if Crocop gets past Kongo in London (and it will probably be for the #1 contender when it does), but that fight won't happen till the end of the year if not early 2008. (I'd bet on the December show).
However in the mean time there doesn't seem to be an obvious contender or contender fight.
Little is known of what AA is doing next (hopefully he's not beening held back for a title shot). He is the only guy on a win streak other than Vera.
Vera is still dealing with his management problems and we don't have a return date.
Werdum lost to AA so he is out of the equation (and again little is known when he is returnning!)
Sylvia is rumoured to be back in October so he could be a possibility in a #1 contender fight
None of the other HW's are close to a title shot.
Personaly I hope they are waiting on Vera to sort things out and then will have AA v Vera in October or November for the #1 contender
How can cro cop be a contender loosing his last fight, and nog only had 1 fight in the ufc and almost lost.
It might have something to do with them being ranked in the Top 5 by virtually every MMA site known to man. Regardless, we would still need to see Cro Cop beat Kongo.
