Why NOT the hype??
Your only as good as your last fight in the UFC, theres always room for new fighters.

He's got some promise but it's way too early to tell if he's a threat to anybody. He lost to Clementi and he knocked out Tommy Speer who is, pretty much a wrestler with heavy hands and crappy stand-up.

IDK when he's fighting again but maybe after he fights a good fighter we'll be able to tell wether he can be a force at 170.

The interviewer says he'd never heard the term "sprawl-and-brawl" before, thus exhibiting his profound knowledge of MMA. LOL.

But, seriously, AJ seems like a cool cat, down-to-earth and respectful. The kid definitely has tons of potential, but he's years away from even thinking about fighting GSP. One huge advantage he has is that he's so much bigger than just about any other 170-pounder I've seen fight. He looks like he's close to 200 pounds in the interview, but the dude is absolutely sliced when he fights. No bodyfat at all.

He has had a few knockouts, one against a wrestler who has no standup but "KO power". Has shown nothing in the way of a rounded MMA game and has about as many questions remaining as your average game of trivial pursuit.

Does anybody remember the Houston Alexander lesson from a year ago, and he beat up Jardine who is a much stronger competitor than Tommy Spear.

He exposed UFC's TUF competition I give him that but he would not last 10 seconds with Tatsuya Kawajiri or Shinya Aoki.

See Sokoudjou, Melvin Guillard and Houston Alexander. Same story, same ending you'll see.

Its not hype, its potential, an thats what he displays a lot of so dont hate.

Gsp also lost to Matt serra, tko'd, he tapped from strikes, so i doubt he will "tool" him.
Many of your posts are crap, including this one. Please think before you type your shit opinions that are so bland its insane.
