Penn vs St.Pierre... easy pick

At welterweight, I really dont think BJ has anything on St.Pierre, I love both fighters, But BJ should just stay at 155 and leave the 170 division alone. He would prob gas out against St.Pierre just like he did the last time. Bj had a great fight on Saturday, BUT I dont really think Sherk offered much of a challenge anyway. It was a nice pace boxing match. But In my opinion St.Pierre will dominate BJ again, Eye poke or not. Bj will own the lightweights for a long time.

who do you think is gonna take this fight and how ?

penn is gonna have to train hard for gsp, strength is gonna be a huge factor in this fight if gsp's last 3 fights are an indicator of how much stronger he has gotten since the serra loss

if penn comes in amazing shape, he has a really good chance of winning

I agree with the TS. However, it's never a given that anyone will win. I think BJ should stay at 155 but I'd like to see another BJ/GSP war.

Penn has already made it pretty clear he doesn't give a shit about fighting the other lightweights, he wants GSP. If Penn can't get motivated for his future opponents at Lightweight he will lose.

If Serra could KO GSP so could BJ. Saying it's an easy pick is just ignorant...

na, its not ignorant, serra had KO power, I'm not really sure just yet that BJ has that same power. BJ is a great fighter, BUT at 170, I think GSP is better. Sometimes 15/20 lbs make a big difference on your body. GSP is great at 170lbs and BJ is great at 155 lobs, thats all I'm saying dude. Send GSP up to 185lbs, might be a different fighter, and a different story.

I wouldn't bet on BJ gassing again vs GSP.

Still, I'd pick GSP to win via decision.

bj beat his ass their first fight how could you say he wouldn't have anything for him?

and it was a split decision by the way.

gsp won it with a takedown with 30 seconds left. even though bj locked him up with his legs and boxed his ears for the rest of the fight.
