Whats wrong with standing elbows? They cut is that right? dosent a true fight have elbows? dont mma gloves cut just as bad due to their square shape? I think standing elbows are awesome to watch and add an extra demension to the fight game.

I didn't know there was a controversy around standing elbows. They are deadly, but no one has used them to their full potential in MMA. Not even close.

have you ever tried to land a standing elbow? its really alot harder than one would think, in the basic standing elbow your suppose to try to slap your opponents lead hand away then flick the elbow through also you dont have alot of reach with it. Dont get me wrong if you land it its lethal but its just hard to do and im sure ts even ahrder once you get to higher levels of muay thai or mma

If your in a clinch is one of your best weapons, you can spin around and use them or just throw an uppercut type elbow when your in close. Also imagine someone shooting in and you elbow the back of their head.

I would agree, with the exception of The Crow and Tanner they are way underused. In fact Tanner hasnt used much in the way of elbows in his last few fights.
