I'm a purist? Why thank you!
I agree, because of his size he'll win some fights but size and strength is not enough, just look at Bob Sapp. Sapp is a bigger stronger better more experienced version of Lesnar except without the hype. Sapp has even bench pressed 130 lbs more than lesnar, he makes lesnar pale. Lesnar isn't that special, he's a lot of hype.
I can't believe so many people fall for it though. He only has a 3-1 record. It just goes to show that the hardcore fans will just fantasize everything together when their idol has hardly any fights to go by. And like I said: Lesnar lost to post accident Mir and his biggest accomplishment is beating a much smaller (washed up?) 46 year old fighter with a 16-8 or so record who hadn't fought in one and a half year - and he didn't even look good doing it. That sums up half his MMA fights
I get it though. This is typical USA MMA, they need to see a big strong guy like lesnar or else it doesn't make sense to them. The drunk booing audiences want brawling and things they understand. Obviously there is a market so why not, but I still think lesnar is a waste of a fight.
