What will Pat Miletich be remembered for more?

His accomplishments as a fighter, or as the founder of MFS?

Here's a look at the two.

Pat Miletich as a fighter.
- Won first UFC 170lb Tournament at UFC 16.
- First ever UFC LW Champion (when it was 200lbs and under) before it was the WW title.
- 28-7 record

Pat Miletich as a trainer.
Produced champions.....
Matt Hughes, former UFC Welterweight Champion
Tim Sylvia, current UFC Heavyweight Champion
Dan Casey, former Ultimate Combat Sports 155lb. Champion
Spencer "The King" Fisher, former Victory Championships Middleweight Champion, former IFC Middleweight Champion
Jeremy Horn, former KOTC Light Heavyweight Championship, now trains with Elite Performance
Jennifer Howe, former Extreme Challenge Middleweight Champion
Jens Pulver, former UFC Lightweight Champion
"Ruthless" Robbie Lawler, former ICON Sport Middleweight Champion
Josh "The Dentist" Neer, former Xtreme Kage Kombat Welterweight Champion
Ben Rothwell, former U.S. MMA Heavyweight Champion

After a close look, with all respect due to Pat as a fighter, his role as the founder of MFS basically cemented his status as a legendary figure in the MMA world.

Not to overly talk negatively about Pat but the thing I'll always remember him for is being a guy with a lot of skills who for one reason or another chose to use them very sparingly in some pretty uninspiring fights in the UFC.

He will be known as the trainer. His fights were VERY slow and boring. NEver overly impressive in the cage for all his skills.

With how fans boo when fights slow down now, he'd be getting torn to shreds every fight.

he will absolutley been known for his skills as a trainer/coach before his fighting accomplishments. Truthfully he was a pretty good fighter but certainly nothing special. However what he has done with guys at MFS is pretty amazing.

hopefully everyone will forget the whole IFL stint someday.
I think he'll be remembered as a great trainer who used to be an average fighter.

Getting into the ring at his age (after a 4 year layoff) along with his injuries, it's amazing that he even got back into the ring.

Hands down, as a trainer. His camp is everything the Lion's Den wished it could have been when they thought they were dominating.

As a fighter, I think he just played it safe to grind out the wins. At one time he was arguably the best in his weight class, but the world of MMA overcame him.

Huge respect to his training skills.
