What happens to Nick Diaz?

What happens to Nick Diaz if he loses at UFC 59 against Sean Sherk?Muscle Shark is 28-2-1 and Diaz is 11-5 and would become 11-6 with 3 losses in a row.

Does he goto King of The Cage with a loss or the IFL? or does the UFC keep him around to use Diaz as a warmup for other Fighters ?

Send him to ROTR or ICON or any small time promotion. Let Lawler fight him again and KO him. Thats what started the NIck Diaz hype anyway. (And him being a asshat)

He is very young the UFC will just slow things down for him and build him up from scratch. I say if he loses he will probably be fighting TUF rejects at the next UFN. I don't think they will get rid of him though they have marketed him well and he has a whole lot of potential. The UFC will keep him and just hold back on hyping him until he grows into his potential.

I hope the UFC can find a way to keep him around if he loses. Feed him some cans or something. The WW division may be too packed to keep him though.

I just don't wanna see him go since he is one of the few guys that I actually buy UFC ppv's to see. If he loses I hope he ends up in a promotion where I can see his fights instead of read about them since all his fights are exciting (I've never seen a boring Diaz fight).

He would be great for Bushido since he always fights for a finish, but that would mean PRIDE would have to want him (they wanted baroni after a string of losses) and he would have to cut down to 160 or bulk up to 183.

i agree, im pretty sure the loser of this fight is going out of the big show.

Diaz will get sherk, i really really hope, if he doesnt he is still young and has a lot of potential. We will see him again.

i think if diaz really wanted to he could cut weight and move down to the LW division and be really dominant there.
i dont think diaz will loose to sherk though because sherk has been out of the game for a while and he had his ass totaled by GSP, plus diaz will have a reach advantage over him.

I don't think that the UFC will nessecarily be done with Nick Diaz if he loses to Sherk, because he hasn't lost his last fights due to land slides. He has lost to decisions not KO's and in each fight has punished his opponent. When Diego Sanchez did choose to stand with Diaz he was cut and eventhough he lost the decision to Riggs he dropped him at the hospital lol There is plenty of fight left in Nick Diaz, he just has to develope more. He's still a young guy and I'm sure there is plenty of opporotunities waiting for him in the future.
