MMA is less rigged, the champs fight way more often than protected boxers who take way to long to negotiate. I'll take an MMA HW like Fedor over any boxer, especially right now.

I think this sounds right. Not to mention the ranking system is so much more evolved.

Honestly, I wish the 2 didn't have to be compared.

I don't think everyone should underestimate the legitimacy of boxing. Not necessarily corrupt, more like politicing. People aren't going to match up their huge draw against some "nobody" that would destroy him and take the title, so they tend not to.

All in all, the mass majority of fights are legit because the fighters know if they fix the fight it could mean the end of their career. They won't do this because the majority of fighters come from a relatively poor background, not middle class or rich.

Anyway, I think that an MMA title is much more accomplished. A boxing title is just a title for boxing. An MMA title is a title for boxing plus everything else.

MMA just makes boxing look like handicapped fighting.
There is a lot more talent in boxing than in MMA because boxing is more popular, and the money is much better. That being said, there are a lot of worthless belts in boxing. But the best boxers are the most talented fighters in the world. Just to take two superstars: Tito Trinindad and Floyd Mayweather. These guys are phenomenal.

Is that true? Sounds to me like you're bias.

How many boxing PPV/shows do you regularly watch? Now how many MMA?

I can name plenty of champs in boxing.

Watch any big boxing event. The fans don't find it obsolete.

Also the history behind boxing championships is far greater than MMA championships.

I think the one that Karate Kid won is far more prestigious than either one. Use crane. The crane is good.
