were PRIDE refs protecting japanese fughters?

Nishijima didnīt tap, verbally submitt, even didnt scream, and Randleman screamed in pain, 3 different subs were applied to his leg, and the ref waited till he tapped cos he could no longer absorb the pain, what happened there?

I don't think so. It's usually the other way around.

Remember Saku vs Royler compared to Saku vs Arona?

So are the japanese fighters protected when the fight is stopped or are they protected when the fight isn't stopped? Somebody have to make up their mind.

Nishijima or Sakuraba.

They dont protect their health, they protect their chances to win.

I don't know about all this Bias refereeing stuff, the most blatent example i have ever seen is Ken/Tito 2 Dean looked like he would stop the fight after the takedown (he flinches toward the two fighters numerous times) then he stops after some weak bows, and BOOM we have a third "fight" (money) weeks later on Spike.

On the real topic, i thought the refereeing was decent, Randleman didn't want to tap, until Kneebar, had he not tapped i think the ref would have stopped it. As for Nish i think it was more that the referee realized he wasn't going anywhere, and stopped the fight.
