Wandy's Record vs. Chuck's Record
Since losing to 2000 Wandy has 19 Wins and 3 Losses
5 of those have been to opponents with LOSING records
1 of those wins (Tatsuya Iwasaki) is over an oppent who never fought in MMA before or since
8 of those wins have been over fighters who are now or should have been fighting at 183
1 of those wins (Shogun Oyama) is over a 185 pounder with a losing record
That leaves him with 7 wins over legitimate 205 pounders with winning records.
2 of those wins are over Quiton Jackson
2 of those wins (Arona and Yoshida) were controversial Split Deciscions
In that same Time Period Chuck has 14 wins and 2 Losses
4 of those wins were against fighters who are now or should have been fighting at 185
That leaves Chuck with 10 wins over 205 pounders
1 of those wins was against a fighter with a losing records
Which leaves Chuck with 9 wins over legitimate 205 pounders.
0 of those wins were Split Deciscions.
I think it's clear that Chuck has faced better competition and done better than Wandy. Chuck should clearly be rated higher than Wandy. The only argument Wandy supporters have is that Wandy beat QJ and QJ beat Chuck, but that's just MMAth. Chuck beat Vitor and Tito, both of whom beat Wandy.

Don't forget that Wand is a Pride fighter.

No flames. I agree 100%. But this does not mean Chuck Liddell is a better fighter than Silva. I have no idea what would happen in this fight. If Silva can control the pace and constantly put the pressure on Chuck, then he would win. And obviously for Chuck if he gets a good shot in first, he will win.

If Chuck beats Rampgage (saying Rampage takes the UFC offer), then it will be difficult to convince people that Wand is number 1. If Rampage beats Chuck again, then Wand will be number 1. It is all dependent on Rampage Chuck II. If we could get to see Chuck vs. Wand directly, that would be the ultimate, but until then, Chuck Rampage II decides it.

If you beat Tito Ortiz who controlled Vanderlei Silva, then beat Tito Ortiz senseless and beat the #1 LHW at the time Randy Couture by knocking him out twice, you deserved to be ranked higher than Silva.
