The importance of Wand vs Jardine

I think that this fight is being over-looked a little b/c of the war of words between BJ and Sean, and the hype machine that is Tito Ortiz. The truth is that this may be the most important fight of the night from a career standpoint.

If Jardine loses, he makes his wins over Forrest and Chuck look like flukes. He is back at square one. If he wins, he immediately validates himself. He puts himself in line for an immediate title shot, gains even more respect from the MMA old schoolers, and in some ways, gets some more validation for TUF.

If Wandy loses, he's done. You just can't lose 4 in a row in the big leagues of this sport. He may be offered some gatekeeper fights, but he will never again be a champion. If he wins, he will re-gain that confidence and killer instinct that we once knew and came to love. He also sets himself up for a possible re-match with Chuck, a loss I'm sure he would love to avenge.

Either way it goes, we will never see two scarier looking s.o.b.'s square off in the octagon.

Wandy by KO, rd 1 Houston Alexander style.

If Jardine can put on a good performance, I'd say that even if he loses his wins over Forrest and Chuck would not be regarded as flukes. If he can land some good damage and make it into round 2 I think people will know he's for real.

That being said, a win would be huge. Imagine 2 years ago if someone came on here and said Jardine would beat Chuck and Wandy back to back... you'd get laughed all the way to the wasteland.

Pretty sure this fight is not going to a decision.

I agree, the jardine vs wandy fight is a make or break kinda of fight but then again, that how it goes in the UFC.

I don't really care who wins

If Jardine wins it could lead to a rematch with chuck for a title shot. I'd like that.

If wandy wins it could mean the same thing. I'd also like that

I think wandy will win and fight either Machida (if he wins) or Thiago

Come to think of it, I'm just all around jacked up to see all these 205 match-ups
