Wandy and his Japanese cans

I want to clear up a couple of things here for all the people saying Wandy is being fed japanese cans by Pride.

Wanderlei Silva has been in 26 pride fights, 15 of them against Japanese fighters, Let's take a look at these cans shall we. (in order of first to most recent)

1) Daijiro Matsui : This was Wandys 2nd pride fight, it went the distance, therfore it was a fair fight.

2) Kazushi Sakuraba :This was the second Japanese fighter Wandy faced in Pride and Wandys 7th Pride fight. Sakuraba is no can, he has wins over 4 different Gracies, Randleman, Rampage, Mezger, Belfort, Newton etc..

3) Shungo Oyama : Shungo has beaten Rodrigo and Renzo Gracie, as well as Valentijn Overeem.

4) Alexander Otsuka : This guys is tough as nails, He beat Marco Ruas, and went the distance with Renzo, Vovchanchyn, and Anderson Silva. If he can hang with those guys than he deserved a chance against Wandy

5) Kiyoshi Tamura : Tamura has beaten such UFC greats as Jeremy Horn, Pat Miletich, Dave Menne, and Renzo Gracie as well. If he got Wandy down he could've maybe subbed him.

6) Tatsuya Iwasaki : Definite can, this fight was a co-production with K-1
http://www.dailymotion.com/tag/tatsu...atsuya-iwasaki

7) Hiromitsu kanehara : He's beaten such fighters as Dave Menne, Valentijn Overeem, and Jeremy Horn. As well as going the distance with Matt Hughes, Babalu, MArio Sperry, and Dan Henderson. You would think Hendo or Hughes or Sperry could finish a can, no?

8) Ikuhisa Minowa : Minowa asked for the fight and he always puts on an entertaining fight so he got it. He's beaten Baroni, Gilbert Yvel, and Kimo so definitely had a shot.

9) Yuki Kondo : This guys has 68 professional MMA fights, and wins over Frank Shamrock, Mario Sperry, Semmy Schilt, Cyborg, Guy Mezger, Pete Williams and many more.

10) Hidehiko Yoshida : Olympic gold medal winner in Judo. Beaten Mark Hunt, Don Frye, and Tank Abbott. He went the distance with Wandy and is no can.

11) Kazuhiro Nakamura : He's beaten Vovchanchyn, Bustamante, Cyborg, Randleman, Kondo, Daniel Gracie, not to mention Li' Nog couldn't even finish him.

12) Fujita: The man who almost beat Fedor

Wandy has also fought in Pride Arona, Rampage, Crocop, Hendo, Guy Mezger, Gilbert Yvel.

Now who dare's to say Wandy is being protected by Pride and being fed Japanese cans to pad his record. And started showing these Japanese fighters some respect,

And Fujita beat Sapp, Shamrock.

Good post, a few might be cans but PRIDE simply has a majority of the good Japanese fighters in the world.

Compare those fighters with who were the best at that time in that organization and that is what the problem was. Not there accomplishments but he was always fighting guys who werent the best or that much of a threat at the time except for a few

I think alot of people dismiss those japanese fighters because Wandy beats them so easily most of the time...which shows how good Wandy is and not really how bad they are

How many of those guys fight below 200 pounds now?

I don't buy into the 'Wanderlei beats only cans' argument, but you're neglecting to point out the weight discrepencies.

They might not hate less but they'll look stupider trying which is good enough for me.

at least now when they make this argument in the future I can just copy my arguments and paste in the new thread. It's hard to argue with the facts.
