Wandy-Arona 3, who cares?

Assuming that this guy is right --http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showthread.php?t=454598&highlight=arona+nog-- that Wandy is fighting Arona for the title (again), here's my comment:

I can't think of a more boring rivalry in all of MMA than Wandy's with Arona. Both fights were fairly mediocre to watch (by Wanderlei Silva standards). Arona is a world-class athlete and fighter -- he's also the only person on earth who can fight Wanderlei Silva and make it seem long and dull.

PRIDE's middleweight division has more interesting possibilities. Wandy could fight little Nog or Shogun. I'd much rather see either of those fights than the third installment of Wandy v. Arona. (All you Sherdog rematch haters, why aren't you complaining about this? Oh yeah, I forgot, PRIDE can do no wrong.)

I have a feeling that Wanderlei won't have the belt much longer. When he loses it, people's interest in seeing Liddell-Wandy will probably evaporate overnight. (Liddell-Wandy might actually happen then, as irony would have it.)

May be boring but when you look back on this in 10 years it'll be more meaningful than some may think. This is basically icing on the cake of a Feud between Wanderlei/Arona or in some people's minds Chute Boxe and Brazilian Top Team.

It may not make for the greatest action in the ring but it makes things more interesting IMO.

While I would much rather see Wand vs Lil Nog, this fight is bound to happen anyway. I want to see it just to end the feud but it will be another boring fight and Arona has a good chance to win by a boring decision.

However dull the fight might be the outcome would be of such significance that in my eyes it would be a huge deal.
Anyone of them stopping the other would lay claim to the top 1 LHW spot IMO and if there's a decision win the winner will still be in serious contention with Liddell for the top spot.

I'd rather see Lil Nog face Wanderlei but despite his style Arona is a top top player and he definitely deserves that recognition.

You can't think of a more boring rivalry in all of MMA??? There are many, but I will say just one: Tito vs Shamrock. Now that's a shitty rivalry.

Fight would have happend in Feb or Wands next defence. As a Wand fan I want this fight to happen. I want people to be convinced that Wand beat Arona with no doubts. And if Wand loses, well its worth the risk.
