Wanderlei would've been KO'd by that punch any time in his career, IMO

I was talking about the third fight. Rewatch the weigh in for there 3rd fight, Wands build looks the same size as him when they stair each other down. There even the same height in that one because Wand is wearing shoes while Rampage is not.

I agree completely. That punch was dead on the button with full body tork and would have knocked out anyone. People are too quick to say people are washed up but in reality he just got caught by a brutal punch. Much like lidell vs. evans punch, that would have taken the head off of a granite statue.

These great strikers have to come to the reality that others stand up has gotten better and they cant take the risks that they once did, or else they will inevidbly fall like the many they made fall in the past

i agree that the punch still would have put him to sleep but reflexes are the first thing to go and in his prime wandy may have rolled with the punch a little better or at least avoided some of the impact to make it less devastating.

Why do people say he was bulkier in Pride? Cause you guys are WRONG. The only time Wanderlei was bigger in japan was in 2006 around the OWGP. Wanderlei used to come in weighing in like the upper 190's at times.

To the thread topic, Idk if he would have been KO'd completely in his prime, Mark hunt landed a huge flush right hand that actually sent Wanderlei's feet off the ground for a second.

I agree - but there comes a time when enough is enough. Power shots or not Wand has been visciously KOd by 3 guys he had beaten already!!

Wand is the fucking man - but when has any significant boxer, k-1, fighte,r or mma fighter ever come back close to form after being stiffboarded this badly 3 times?

If Wand moves to 185 and ends up getting KOd by LEben or something I might have to kill myself.

Only Wand truly knows the physical state of his head/brain right now and hopefully pride and ambition doesnt blind him and affect his long term health.

For alot of people all it takes is one KO to change them forever ... personally I wouldnt even want to try and count how many KOs/concussions Wand had between fights and training over his career.

Ask Troy Aikman or Eric Lindros --> and ill gurantee you they had alot less head trauma than Wandy.
