Wanderlei would've been KO'd by that punch any time in his career, IMO - Page 12

no, not the height or weight, watch page size on 1-2, then compare it to the 3rd, 1-2 were pretty much even body size, then 3rd fight, wand looks small, and page's body got wider (mother nature)

even page said in an interview that his body was getting bigger cause he's getting older

To be fair, in the Hendo fight at the start of the final exchange he caught Wanderlei with his patented right hand. When Wandy ate that it rocked him and he went flat footed allowing Dan to finish him with a hard left.

I agree... and as a Rampage fan, I would say this shot would have put most out... it is definitely not a knock against Wanderlei's chin.. it just so happened to be him on the receiving end.

the only thing I dont agree with... is that liddell wasn't out when he fought rampage.

true he might have been "awake going down" but rampge knocked his ass out cold stiff... then knocked him back too.. all before bjm could get there.

There are several such punches that come to mind against people who have strong chins. Just a few are Chuck's right hand in the 2nd fight with Randy, Rashad's right hand vs. Chuck, and of course Rampage's left hook vs. Wandy. All of those would have knocked anyone out. The point is not to be able to take those punches, its to not get hit with them in the first place.

I agree, on the slow mo you can see Rampage swing his hips and pretty much his whole body right into that punch. Would of knocked out prolly anyone.

I remeber on a science sports show he was talking about how he puts his "ass" into his punches to get all the power he can get. Then they had some demonstration model to show how he gets so much force in his hits of when he first whines up how he plants his feet and then twists his body thus sending a ripple effect of force from the his feet right through to his punch, was interesting, thus the whole "Putting your whole body into your punch" effect.

And what do you know he did the same effect that they showed to Wand in that punch.

For sure. Any fighter in the division would have been and will be KO'd by Rampage should they happen to get caught with a shot like that. People also try to rag on Chuck for getting KO'd by the Rashad shot, but I guarantee there's nobody who would've taken that punch where Chuck took it and not been KO'd.
