I had to post this thread as a result of many threads i've read weather Chuck can ko SIlva. To answear the question, yes anybody can get ko'd. But i have to say after seeing all of SIlva's fights, in my opinion Wanderlei has one of the best chins. He has been hit well in his fights with Hunt, Sakuraba, Rampage, Kondo, Dan Henderson, Mezger and never has been ko'd. He seems to recover very fast. IMO one of the toughest chins in mma. And one more thing in 99 after all those strikes from Belfort, he still was not dazed, just rewatch the fight.

Yes, he was dazed... watch the fight again. Big John goes over to him and Wandy has that "WTF happened!!" look on his face.... and after Vitor punched him across the ring his back hit the cage and his legs gave out like spaghetti.... Silva was done...

Dan Henderson

Guy Mezger

Just some that I can remember where SIlva shows good takedown defence.

Wanderlei does have a tough chin but when he gets on the top/sides of his head is when he seems to go down. Same thing w/ Chuck Liddell who's got a solid chin but when both these guys get hit on the top/side of their head they go down.

This thread is gonna be 3 pages long in no time full of Wanderlei haters just posting one liners that have already been posted one million times before.

Wandy has a crazy open punching style... he almost always gets hit at the start of the fight big... i want to see him take the hits from chuck

i'm not going to question who can take what between liddell and wandy... but i would surely like to watch it...

There is a big difference between a good chin....and fast recovery.

Silva recovers quickly from getting rocked.....but the bottom line is he gets rocked.

Tito floored him, Sak floored him, Hunt floored him, Vitor floored him........lots of fighters have floored him.

He is the definition of a fast recovery..

If he was the definition of a great chin, he wouldnt get floored in the first place and have to recover.

Look at that gorilla chin. His jaw looks like it was carved out of stone. I swear Wandy is the missing link between humans and apes. Yes Chuck could KO him. He could KO anyone in the world, but Wandy can take a punch.
