I may not have a short memory like the rest of you but Wanderleia Silva does not deserve to be in the OWGP at all.

In the first round, I clearly remember Silva NOT coming to terms with DSE over one thing and one thing only, MONEY. What kind of fighter puts money before an oppertunity like an OWGP championship?

There was an alternative bout in the first round vs. Roman Zenstov and Gibert Yvel. Zenstov KO'd Yvel, giving him the "alternate" role incase somebody got injured in the 2nd round and couldn't continue.

Well we all know Fedor was supposed to be in the 2nd round but alas couldn't because his hand still needs to heal. Sounds like an injury to me, so did Pride have Zenstov fight Fujita when Zenstov EARNED that fight?

Nope. They had to give their screaming monkey man Silva the fight because he'd bring in more revenue than Zenstov, yet, Zenstov didn't puss out of the first round because of money.

Silva is no Fedor. 4 Title defenses in 5 years, don't need to go on. Silva wasn't injured prior to round 1 and could fight NO PROBLEM, but he didn't like his first round opponent and pulled the "not enough money" excuse.

Really, 300k, 400k, 450k for a fight in the first round, who cares. A real fighter would have taken a first round fight, period. But nope, with Silva, his special treatment from Pride continues. I also think he knew he could get into the 2nd round if Fedor couldn't compete.

And this is YOUR hero, Wanderleia Silva?

I'd like to hear from ALL you Silva fans why Wanderleia deserves to be in the 2nd round when he was too scared to even step up and take ANY fight in the first round.

A real champion would have.

Atleast we'll all see him get the shit beat out of him by either Cro Cop, Barnett or Big Nog.

It sucks for Zentsov, that's sure.

But they replaced a champion with a champion, and Silva handled Fujita, so I think no-one is blaming them now. Excpet you and few others, for a reason, yeah. But it's hard to blame them now, just looking at the prospects of this gp.

What a shitty post. It amazes me that people still think Wandy is somehow scared to fight certain people. The guy has fought Mirko Cro Cop under special rules that heavily favored Cro Cop. He destroyed Sakuraba at a time when Sakuraba was considered unbeatable. And he has since done it two more times. He fought and stood toe to toe with Mark Hunt, who is a giant compared to Silva. He took his best shots and still nearly won the fight. And now he fights a guy who is nearly impossible to knock out and he TKO's him. And now he'll be fighting either Cro Cop, Nogueira, or Barnett. Two of which he will fight in one night. Sounds like a pussy to me.
