Awesome, will have to check that out. They should set up Raab vs. Couture for the show, it'd be a good "Raab in Gefahr" skit.

thoughts anyone?

I see you’re located @ stop 4711 in Deutschland, yet your typed English is better then most on this site. I have traveled through Germany, and was always surprised how many young people spoke English. I think the show could be done in English if that's too big of an insult to the German people.
And as for finding GOOD announcers that speak German???? I don't think the UFC is worried about that. They still haven't found two good announcers that speak English.

Bigger problem: Deutschland über alles.
Boxing is the #1 fighting sport there. They always talk like they have the best fighters in the world. They don't let some American organization ruin Boxing. Germans don't care about Nog vs Randy. Lip-sync the whole event is a problem too.

I think the Event will do fine! Ticket sell wont be a problem because Colonge is a perfect spot! It is about 100 miles away from the netherlands, belgium, france! The biggest problem will be the Media! I really hope that ufc 99 is not going to be like UFN Fight for the Troops! This would be to much violence for the first UFC Event!
Germany is very attractiv for the UFC in terms of merchandise! We germans a really into buying silly t-shirts and stuff like that! Our TV stations has a lot of money aswell! WWE and Boxing doing very well in germany, so why shouldn´t mma work?
For the commentating problem, they should really use the Eurosport (tv channel) guy! His commentating on K-1 Fights was allright!
Is Bas Rutten speaking german? He is from holland, perhaps he can?!

Yeah we have english in school pretty early and of course we all downloading your nice TV-Shows like Lost,Scrubs,Heores, House M.D.! So we "young" germans hear alot of english!
I really like Rogan and Goldie! Rogan is very passionate for mma and thats a good thing! And yeah, goldie ist just goldie! Not the most knwolage but somehow fun to hear!

Many younger men will be attracted by this event just because of the fact that two muscled men punsh each others faces in a cage<----- that's how everyday people who are not into MMA will talk about the UFC.
Just add heaps of alcohol and it could be a huge evening with your mates. One huge problem will be the ticket prices: I reckon they will be around 80 -120€. Definately two much for people who get in contact with the sport for the first time. Even for fan like me, who is interested in MMA for many years now it is a decent amount of money.
