most of them speak german but not good enough to broadcast the event.
if any tv station really buys the whole package, it will be expensive.
to get good tv ratings is a hard task for mma debuting in germany.
in england they had cage rage.
a few years ago some german coaches were invited to start a reality-tv-show similar to tuf.
it was going to broadcasted on dsf, the biggest national sports station, in the saturday 8:15 pm slot (!!!!!).
live vents were planned, with superfights between the coaches.
my coach also was asked to participate.
when he told us that he would not accept the offer i was kind of shocked, because to me it looked like a great opportunity for his school and mma nationwide.
once more my coach was right:
a few days before the first event should take place, the whole thing was stopped and everybody was released from their contracts.
i think the ufc realizes how hard it will be for them to get into the german market.
maybe they are overthinking their plan.
the pionneer-work for mma hasn´t been done yet here.
even the own scene wasn´t able to break into tv landscape.
