UFC Take Note.

The superbowl of MMA is to make history opn July 19 with Affliction co promoting with M-1.

They have Tim Sylvia, Josh Barnett, Andrei Arlovski, Pedro Rizzo, Ben Rothwell, Alex Emelienanko, Paul Buentello, and last but not least, Fedor and that is just the Heavyweight division.

The myth that Affliction will fold due to the hugh amount of money being spent can be shut down due to the fact that Affliction is sharing the costs with M-1 and Roy Englebrecht Events. This would lead to profits for the three promotions while the chance for lost of cost remains minimal.

Yet, being that Afflcition sponsors alot of fighters, and being that they wit M1 hold a hugh amount of the talent pool in the Heavyweight division, and being that they were contracted with UFC, if they succeed with their first mega card, this might help persuade or even pressure for Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta along with Dana White to swallow their ego and possibly talk about co-promoting with Affliction. Of course this will not happen right away but down the road who knows what could happen. The fighters in Affliction can fight for the UFC title and fight as UFC stars while Affliction help share part of the salary. Of course the use of ring and cage conflict would be the main problem.

I'm sure the UFC is going to fold now that this new powerhouse Affliction is taking over...

Are you really serious? Why would you promote the opposition? I mean this is basic business principles. The UFC is the superior organization at the time and they don't benefit from co-promotion. The UFC is a very popular brand and it is going to be very hard for anyone else to compete with. Let's be realistic here. Maybe a while down the road if Affliction doesn't fold

i don't think that the UFC will ever co-promote any fights ... not since they are one of the biggest MMA production right now....

They could be the biggest production but all is takes is great fights from the opposing competiton to create a threat. UFC did co promote with Pride. Hell one of their LHW was a current Pride fighter at the time (Vitor Belfort).

Elite XC is co promoting with Dream and Cage Rage as well as IFL.

It could happen.

I think UFC is trying to avoid a climax. If they did co-promote and have one of the "biggest" promotions, what will they do to top it? They are looking ahead of just a big promotion.

They are going to hold the talent for approximately 1 to 2 events and then they will likely fold. Why support the competition when they can not compete for more than an event or two.

people have no business sense on here
