UFC Shuts Down My Highlights

So I got an email from the You Tube administration team letting me know that my "MMA Evolution" highlight had been permanently shut down and is no longer available at the website to view. Apparently(according to them), the UFC contacted You Tube and threatened to sue them unless they took down the highlight. This was followed up by an email from Melanie at info@ufc.tv letting telling me that I'm not authorized to use or display any UFC-oriented footage on public access sites without the company's consent.

It's interesting because all of my other highlights are still available on You Tube, including "Why I Watch MMA" in which I include a ton of UFC footage as well. I don't see why they had any beef with my Evolution highlight.

It's no big deal. In fact, I'm unusually proud. Future highlight makers beware. Dana McMahon's keeping an eye on you.

UPDATE: My "Why I Watch MMA" Highlight has now also been shut down due to "copyright infringements."

Kind of funny that they didn't take down actual recent
fights but they asked for your HL to be removed?

LOL @ "Dana McMahon." Yeah I don't understand why they have to be such Nazis about it. If anything it builds up more interest if an average joe happens upon an MMA clip

Very funny and true. I've had hundreds of emails/PMs as I'm sure Robby has about attracting new fans who buy PPVs.

Agreed. I sent the UFC a civilized reply regarding the issue so let's see what comes of this.

And MMA Evolution is still available on Google Video, so for the life of me I don't know why they don't ban that video either.

Oh and since I'm pretty sure UFC admin browse the boards, I'm posting this thread on every top MMA forum I can think of so hopefully somebody from the UFC will see it and realize how idiotic they're being with this copyright bullshit.

In my humble opinion, all that my highlights have ever done is promote MMA for all companies.

Oh yes, and as a result MMA Evolution is no longer viewable at my "Highlight Central" thread. You can still download it though at the posted link.
