Franklins numbers are weak, I dont think he was as big as the ufc thought he was. He cant carry a card.

Tito vs Forrest was the highest PPV at the time, more then Randy vs Chuck III that alone should tell you he is a huge draw.

Liddell and Shamrock baught in them numbers? Yeah, sure they did, but so did Tito, if it was anyone other then Tito (Including Randy Couture) in them two fights the numbers would not have been anywehere near that.

UFC Biggest draws.

1. Chuck
2. Tito
3. Randy.

I for one would like to see Jardine/Ortiz Rampage/Ortiz Wanderlei/Ortiz or even Liddell/Ortiz 3 F Shamrock/Ortiz 2
don't look at it as sabotaging ortiz's stock, look at it as increasing machida's stock. if machida wins, he now has an identity, and some real legitimacy for a title fight. the average fan doesn't keep track of number of wins in a row or whatever.

its funny that there were threads about this fight being "disrespecting" to machida or whatever. on the contrary. its potentially a great thing for his career, just like it was for forrest and evans. what does it do for tito? get's him closer to a title fight if he stays, i suppose.

Agreed. Liddell consistantly draws big numbers regardless of who he is fighting. Ken Shamrock also always drew big numbers- pre-tough Ken Shamrock vs Kimo did more ppv buys than Ortiz/Chuck and Ortiz/Randy.
