and that's why tito will fight liddell at least twice more before they both retire.

TS, thanks for posting this information. I was really interested in learning those numbers.

UFC 72- 200,000 buys. That's not very good. I always felt that card should have been free.

Also, it's pretty telling that Royce Gracie is a huge draw considering that his fight against Hughes at UFC 60, drew 620,00 buys. Prior to that fight, it could have never reasonably been expected that Gracie v Hughes would have been a competitive fight. And it wasn't.

Compare the number of buys for the Gracie v Hughes fight to these excellent matchups:

UFC 79 - Liddell v. Silva - 600,000* (this also included GSP v Hughes and Soko v Machida)
UFC 68 - Slyvia v. Couture - 540,000
UFC 74 - Couture v. Gonzaga - 520,000
UFC 63 - Hughes v. Penn - 400,000
UFC 76 - Liddell v. Jardine - 475,000

You need to swap Tito and Chuck.

You are wrong.. in the the 4 UFC's that Tito has been in, when he fought Liddell and shamrock the events had big numbers, but when he had to headline pretty much by himself (griffin, Evans) His numbers were very low. It is the Liddell and Shamrock that brought in those numbers

without knowing what he is asking, its really difficult to draw the conclusion that you did.

if you look at the tito/evans buyrate, and the evans/bisping buyrate, i could see why zuffa would be reluctant to give him a whole lot more money.

nope. chuck still did 600K with jardine coming off a loss. tito/jardine certainly would not have done that.

With the money Tito brings in, the UFC better hang on to him, because it seems he could single handedly turn another org into a legitimate competitor
