If is about 500,000 that would be a total of $25 million PPV as well as gate money, and that doesn't include merchandising, overseas TV and DVD sales. The fighters got just over a million in announced fights money and maybe another half mill under the table. So the fighters, the ones who actually put on the show have got about 6% of the take. Someone is being exploited, and it isn't Zuffa.

1. they get less than 1/2 of the PPV money. your $25 million is really less than $10 million
2. if is KNOWN that randy's PPV take was around a million dollars for EACH of his last two fights. so, your "maybe another half mil under the table" is likely shit as well

Why don't you just take Zufffa out of your mouth? Jeez, I can't believe anyone who says they are an MMA fan would twist anything in favour of an organisation against fighters. Since when was Randy in UFC 81? I was even generous in leaving out merchandising, etc. And believe me, unless they have a very less favourable arrangement than boxing, they take a lot more than half.

Then they're fucking morons. He's making 15+ million per PPV and he's getting less than 500k (minus a bonus, if he gets any). They'd lose a lot more money letting him go than paying him 5 mil per fight.
