ANDERSON SILVA VS. JAMES IRVIN AT 205LBS. Wow, you mean Silva is fighting a guy who is 5-3 in the UFC and nowhere near title contention. How does that compare to Fedor vs Tim for the Wamma Title as the number one in the world. This makes no sense. If silva wins...big deal. If he loses then this is going to kill the integrity of his title. I am going to take the all star of fight cards over Anderson on free tv that i can tape and watch later. Nice try dana.

would anyone here skip the Affliction Fight to Watch Anderson fight a guy with a KO over suspect chin Huston Alexander when you can tape it and watch it later. Even if the Affliction card stinks...it will be fun to see all those huge names on one card.

Anderson makes that card. Anderson IMO is the most exciting fighter in MMA, so any MMA fan wouldnt miss a Spider fight. But you are right, the Afflict should be the first priority, thought both will be watched by me somehow. Im so excited to see the Spider fight again though

Anderson is only testing his game with Irvin in that class. His title will not lose value if he loses, imo. He is still the best middleweight out there right now. I will DVR it, because I'm gonna be busy enjoying the fights in Anaheim. Got my ticket and wouldn't miss it, even the card had Chuck vs. Rampage III, Silva vs. Hendo II, or even GSP vs. BJ II. Affliction has too many good fighters lined up.

Since you wanna question integrities of titles, what if Sylvia defeats Fedor, then Affliction has a champion that lost 2 of his last 3 fights in the big org they're trying to compete against. They really should have used Barnett for that fight instead of Sylvia.

If Anderson loses it does nothing to the integrity of his title seeing how it'll just be spun as him fighting 20 pounds above his natural weightclass and taking the fight on short notice. UFC's marketing >> Affliction's.

Well, UFC has the brand name and is well known by the casual fans. Its also free (on Spike) while Affliction is $40. Is Affliction the better card, clearly. I mean, it will not change me from buying the Affliction and TiVo the UFC, but it will probably affect some people that do not want to pay $40 to watch another MMA organization if the UFC is having a card for free that night.
