Why not win the Olympics while holding the UFC 205 Belt?

Winning the Olympics is more meaningful than being successful in MMA, imo. Olympics is something huge.

even though success in MMA is important, it isnt as prestigious

Fuck that.

Right now, Chuck Liddell is more known, popular, & makes more money than any fucking American wrestling gold medalist.

I don't see Nike going after freestyle wrestlers for advertisements, do you? It's all about 100m dash. The rest get fucking shit. Who do you remember that won gold last Olympics? Fuck, the last guy I remember is Carl Lewis, because that dude was beyond human. The rest of them? Who the fuck knows.

Yet people can remember "has been" champs like Royce Gracie a lot better than past Olympic gold medalists. If Matt Hammil went onto Olympics, and NEVER was a part of The Ultimate Fighter, you would never give two shits about him.

Just to confirm what I said... how many Olympic appriciate websites have you found on the internet? With active forum community, such as this one for MMA? None. Why? Because there are no supporters.

Yeah, you can say Olympics is more "honourable"... "heroic"... "patriotic"... blah blah blah. At the end of the day though, you're better off being a UFC champ.

Why? Because getting a Gold in World Olympics is a huge accomplishment, but so is winning UFC's LHW Championship. Majority of the people in the world agree that the two hardest things to win is the world is getting Gold for 100m dash, and winning the heavyweight boxing championship. Well, boxing has passed. MMA is next. And it's just as prestigeous as winning Olympic gold.
