UFC nuthuggery needs to stop for the GOODof MMA

Im not a Pride nuthugger, or a UFC nuthugger. If anything I am a Fedor and Bas nuthugger.

What pisses me off on this thread is the fact that UFC nuthuggers refuse to ever admit that the UFC is definitely NOT the best case scenario for MMA. There are plenty of negatives with UFC rules and regulation, but there are even more problems with the way UFC is run. This is NOT to say that the UFC is/was worse then pride. This is to simply state that there is always room for improvement.

And blind UFC nuthuggery is only gonna make this sport worse... damn nuthuggers refuse to admit several things:

1) The way the UFC matches up their fighters and treats their roster is not the best in the world.
2) The cards the UFC produces should be improving with quality. Every card should be "stacked" with championship bouts and #1 contender matches.
3) TUF shows should not dictate when a champion fights.

^ Thats the least i can say thats wrong with UFC without involving previous rules for pride, or anything else. But the truth is that UFC SHOULD steal great ideas from other organization to simply polish up an already amazing product. And this ISNT too much to ask for, right now UFC is the greatest company in the MMA world, they should lead by example (ie. fighter salary).

Just so you UFC nuthuggers dont flame here are 3 great things that UFC has pioneered/upheld:

1) The 1st priority is always the fighters health.
2) UFC has carved out a great market share for MMA and has single handedly expose North America to MMA.
3) UFC has been solely responsible for all of the oppertunity other MMA shows have had in North America, by pushing all of the boards and commission to allow MMA fighting.

The same can be said about any MMA organization, and likely any sport organization anywhere in the world. There is always room for improvement, and the UFC is definitely no exception.

The posters that nuthug UFC aern't even going to be fans of MMA eventually.

Just let them have their fad, in the end the only ones left will be us true MMA fans.

Care to list anymore regions for improvment???

Just that when u start offering ideas like: longer rounds, more rounds, tourneys ... they all get shut down because they are from PRIDE.

I think there is nothing more exciting then a grand prix in any weightclass.

I do agree that TUF shows should not dictate when a champion fights.

That's one of the things I hate about UFC.

Valid points. I think first and foremost the main priority of UFC should be upping the fighter salaries. They want to be like the Yankees, but they pay like the Phillies. They need to dish out more money definitely. (I am a Phillies fan to any flamers, so me saying this is OK.)

sure from a fans point of view your absolutely correct, but from a business point of view they are doings things just right. in fact i like this quote dana said in an interview with yahoosports

"It's part of my philosophy to always have good fights on free TV," said UFC president Dana White. "We ask out fans to buy 10 pay-per-views per year, and you can't give them s--- on free TV when you do that

its all about the money but sometimes you gotta give back to the fans. i'm sure we'll see supercards and title fights for free. i'm sure we might one day see a tournament. but right now you gotta take things in stride and run your company from all aspects. money, the future, the fans and most importantly the fighters.

its not about nuthugging the ufc b/c it isn't perfect but neither is any other company and neither was pride before they were bought out

There is nothing more exciting.

Its also a mockery of the integrity of the sport, unless its done entirely with lower-level fighters. Sort of like TUF.

I doubt Dana will be saving the best fights for TV, in fact spike fights are pretty much all based on TUF, thats cool... in fact if TUFrs headlined spike fights i would be totally up for that. But, you got to admit that TUF fighters are more preferable over international fighters (big nog) when it comes to hype and cash flow.

Simply put TUF fighters have a better oppertunity because they dont need to be built up, i think that being on a TV show should not dictate chance in the UFC.

Or at least they should make some sort of TV show where they get all the best fighters from each region of the world. Get Fedor on spike ppl would love that stuff they would see how nice of a dude he is, get Barnett or Bas on freaking spike... that would be phenomenal.
Problem is they would want a lot of cash... and i dont think Dana is up for it.
