I suspect that the UFC's "lowball" offer is significantly better than anything he could have gotten anywhere two years ago.

People need to stop acting like Zuffa is being evil about this. The UFC is investing huge amounts of money in developing the sport in areas that MMA is not currently that big, such as Europe. Short run, they aren't going to be paying guys like Arlovski as much as they may want. Long run, they'll be able to pay good money to many, many more fighters, by developing MMA around the world.

The AA situation is a tricky one since he's seemed somewhat timid of late. So in that instance the question I guess just how low are they trying to low ball him.

if u read the article, this mean that everyone who thinks the UFC is has good business skills made a huge mistake in buying PRIDE.

Well if the UFC are the only big dog in the game then at the moment it seems like a game of survival for the rest.

So effectively the UFC are the only big game in town at this point in history.

They can hang on as a recycling center for UFC fighters. UFC wouldn't give you Rizzo vs Monson, but EliteXC will!

Ya, I do like the best fighting the best and that is the problem. The UFC had the perfect oportunity to get 80% of the good fighters under one org when they purchased Pride and they screwed it up. Now they have 30-40% of the good fighters and lot of people pissed off. The way Dana bashes fighters just adds fuel to the fire. I wouldn't be surprised if a few lawsuits come Zuffa's way. One of these fighters will eventually take thier contract to court.
