Icon3 Randy Couture vs Big Nog

Ok, so if Fedor doesn't sign and isn't in the picture, I believe Big Nog will be next in line to take a crack at Randy. Am I right? I don't see anyone else? Arlovski, Big Tim, CroCop... LESNER..lol

I have a question though, if Randy Couture stomps Big Nog like he has done to his last 2 opponents then will Randy be #1? Or at least given the credit of #2? Also, how many excuses are going to be made if Randy mauls Big Nog like he did GG? And don't you TUF NUBs respond saying, "Won't happen" or "Nog will submit Randy", you don't know how a fight is going to go, you can't predict fights 100%, especially with Randy fighting... Serra-GSP anyone??

Thoughts?

It'll be a close fight and I can see it going either way. Randy has looked incredible lately, and Nog is Nog as always. Nuff said. I hope that fight happens.

Afterwards, I really wanna see Randy vs. Fedor.

randy could never be number one in my mind until he fought and beat fedor. fedor is just way too much of a standout as the best fighter in the world for someone else to be credited as no. 1

Couture has ZERO chance since big NOG's ground game is so superior to randy

I think Nog has to fight another opponent, and at least impress during the fight, to even think of getting a title shot

After Nog's lackluster and lucky win (Fattie Herring not finishing off Nog) I'm not sure if he deserves a title shot but if he did get a title shot I don't think he could handle Randy. Nog's standup isn't that great, shoot, it's pretty much on par with Randy's and Randy is a better wrestler and could probably avoid any submission Nog tries to throw at him. Randy is too good of a game planner he would neutralize Nog the whole fight and win by decision.

Nog easily deserves the title shot, been the number 2 HW in the world for a while.

I don't don't even want to think of what would beome of Randy if he beats Nog cause thats a huge IF. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'd take Randy by decision in that one.

I don't think Nog will land a submission on him the way Randy is fighting these days. Plus Randy hasn't been caught in a tradtional submision in almost seven years.

Randy has something new in his heart that can't be stopped right now.

He would then be the CURRENT #1 heavyweight.

It is tempting to think he could pull it off too after the last Herring match but maybe Nog can dial it up a notch before then.

Honestly, I would love to see Big Nog stand and bang with The New Randy. It would be an awesome standup war.

Bringing up Herring is fucking stupid because it's not like Randy is going to magically land the same fucking lucky kick that Herring landed. If anything, I see the match going more like Nog vs. Barnett, with better standup from Randy.
