I think it is over saturated right now. THey need some proper ranking and organization in the UFC LW division now. They did that cuz noone in LW is gettin more then 12,000 a fight

That's all you've seen in both Pride and the UFC? LW may be the most excitting division out there and is universally stacked.

They dont have a top ten 155 guy right now.

They have two or three guys who might be in the top 15-ish range, Stevenson, Franca and Mishima.

Not to make this a UFC vs. PRIDE thread (or Japan, since Heros has better fighters than the UFC at 155 with Boku, JZ, Kid, Uno, etc) but as far as rankings go the the UFC's 155 is second to the UFC's heavyweight.

Thats sad and kinda scary at the same time.

- Hominick upset Yves in the first big LW fight in the LW divisions return. He outstruck him and won by (surprising) Triangle choke

- Tyson Griffin, great undefeated fighter who has had hype around him for a while. UFC finally signed him for UFC 63 and he had an impressive submission victory

- Pulver, former (and first ever) LW champion known for his "sprawl n brawl" and Striking. First man to beat BJ Penn

- Lauzon upset Pulver (Similiar significance to how Hominick upset Yves)

I believe Sherk faught for the title because in a division with no rankings yet (it was still developing) Sherk was a top 5 WW of the world coming down to 155. Florian faught because the winner of Stout/Florian was going to be given a title shot (for what reason, i dunno but thats how it worked out)

The UFC division is not "stacked". It has competitive matchups, but its not stacked.

Yeah the LW division has nothing but top talent its just nobody is ranked yet cause it just got started. Any of thos fighter can be top 10
