EVERYONE is an eventual "threat" to Fedor. Until Fedor beats them. It's not really about discrediting anybody; it's about the fact that Fedor is the greatest fighter of all time, Dana White can't get him under his thumb, and that infuriates UFC backers who stubbornly refuse to admit that the #1 HW in the world, and of all time, has not and does not fight in "their" league.

Exactly. That way, they can talk all the shit they want, and not have to worry about backing it up against the #1 HW of all time. Wouldn't it be nice to see Rogers come to the UFC after Fedor dispatches him and clean house? Priceless. Then, after Rogers is UFC champion, Dana White will prop him up like he does Lesnar. Rogers at 15 or 16-1: Dana White: "I'm sick of hearing all this shit about Fedor. That loss was a long time ago. Brett Rogers is a much better fighter now. BLAHBLAHBLAH."

That's the thing, the champion looks unstoppable, but we haven't seen it. I believe the problem of the division is that it lacks all rounded veterans.
Look at the LW division, even lacking big names, you have Penn, and despite his attitude in interviews, he backs it up, being talented in many facets of the game. We can't say the same about Brock, he only showcased his wrestling/smothering so far. And most contenders at the heavies are relatively new or just barely won versus top 10 material, like Carwin, JDS, GG, Cain. Also, there are many one dimensional fighters out there... A guy with Kongo's skill set would get smashed on a regular basis at the Welter Weights.
I do believe some fighters look promising, Cain got a good performance in his last fight, but we still have to witness much more to watch a solid HW.

Calling all submission grappling BJJ is offensive to non-BJJ grapplers such as myself (well not really lol, just saying). If you had said some form of submission grappling is absolutely essential, there would be no argument.

Alright, I'm with ya.
I know Fedor is a Sambo guy but I always end up referring to submission grappling as BJJ, sorta like I call all tissue "Kleenex".

I 100% agree with TS. Too much hate about top MMA fighters in general and especially about HWs in the "hardcore fans community".
It seems like everyone is a can but two/three fighters by weight class.

One of the reasons for the HWs is this. Fedor nutthugers. It relates to what I said before: one god and cans.

haha alright, but there are a lot of guys out there who think BJJ is the be-all-end-all of grappling. Hopefully some of them will read this lol.
