UFC on HBO. Boxing fan's opinions :>

I did a google search for "UFC HBO" and stumbled on this. It's pretty interesting (err... funny) to see what some boxing fans think of MMA (and boxing)

My favorite is that "MMA is a fad" and they "have no one to train them". I find latter a little odd

Thay always come with the argument that boxing is bigger then MMA. Uhm.. is boxing better because more people know about it? They you can better watch some soccer or football. Much more people watching that stuff..

Those boxing fans have less braincells then Ali and Tyson combine..

Actually there was a lot of support and educated opinions there. I thought it was a pretty supportive thread all in all.

I didnt read the link but I gurantee any pro boxer would step in the MMA ring and knock out Fedor because his boxing technique isnt crisp and clean

Not trying to turn this into a boxing vs. MMA debate, but in the MMA ring, why would Fedor try to box with them?

this was my favorite:

Does the UFC or the MMC or whatever they call it regulate who is allowed to compete? Do you have to have some sort of black belt or a certain amount UFC fights to before you are allowed in the big money fights? There has to be a catch here and I think it has to do the UFC MMC being afraid that some mediocre boxer could embarras this sport. However, as I have said before, there are good boxers that cant do a thing once they are taken to the ground but I remain skeptical of ultimate fighting so far.
