UFC gloves/ PRIDE gloves

Is it just me or does it seem that pride fighters can take many more punches than UFC guys? I know the ufc uses 4-6 oz baby gloves, but i dont know the size of pride gloves. Of course people can talk about 1 punch knockouts in pride but there are 1 punch knockouts in all fighting sports.

Pride Gloves are a little bigger. I think they're 6-8oz. There's more protection around the knuckles. Just look at the gloves.

I don't think Pride fighters tape their hands either. taped hands can feel like casts.

Wanderlei tapes his hands. It depends on the fighter. I know that Fedor doesn't.

i watch wandy and i can see him taking more damage now then when he fought vitor in ufc brazil. one punch then seemed enough to stun him, and i know u cant train ur chin to be stronger. thus my ? in the first place

So is taped hands and UFC gloves (sorry don't know the exact weights) a SAC rule, or can teh Pride guys go in with their own personal preferences?

I believe taped hands are a NSAC rule. Pride could still use Pride gloves since the only criteria for Gloves was that it has to protect the knuckles and be bigger than 4oz but smaller than 8oz.

they do tape their hands.. no matter what glove you basicly have to, it stabilizes the hand and gives support when you punch. You wouldn't want to risk breaking your hand.
