UFC fighters challanging Pride fighters
There are probably a few isolated instances that I don't know about where a Pride fighter calls out UFC fighter but it seems to me that only UFC fighters challenge Pride fighters and not vice-versa. Is it because Pride fighters don't consider anyone in the UFC on par with Prides best ? Is it happening for the same reason that it is allways a small dog barks at the big dog or Is it because Prides best are too ignorant towards other fighters ?
P.S. Silva calling out Liddel does not count cause before Silva came out with his challenge Liddel had been asking for this fight for the past 3 years or so

Well the weight classes are slightly diffrent. So they feel its not worth gaining or lossing that slight weight diffrence. Maybe their contracts don't allow them too. Who knows.

Its because the fans aren't trying to burn Pride to the ground because of it, while they are screaming foul because the UFC isn't giving us tehse matchups already.

small dogs barking at big dogs says it best.
The fact is the talent pool in Pride is much greater than the UFC. Not to say UFC doesn't have some very talented people. But Pride obviously has a greater depth of talent and also houses a few of the no. 1 world ranked fighters. UFC fighters see them as the top of the ladder, and want to prove themselves against the reckognized best in the world. Because the fact is, even if chuck liddell is the 205lb UFC heavyweight champ. Most true MMA fans recognize not him, but a guy like wandy as the best at that weight. And that's the case with many others.
The fact that Pride has more talented fighters than the UFC is the reason for the skewing of more UFC fighters calling out pride fighters than vice versa.
If the UFC got a few of the no.1 ranked fighters on their side, i'm sure we'd see some Pride champions calling them out.

While I generally agree that the talent pool of top notch fighters is greater in Pride, but to UFC's defense, mmaweekly has UFC fighters as #1 in 3 of their 5 weight classes.

Who else does Sylivia have to call out? There are no other worthy opponents in the UFC.

Basically..UFC fighters dont' really call out any PRIDE fighters except for Liddell and Sylvia, but on the other side Wanderlei desperately wants to fight Chuck too. It's all about earning respect and proving to themselves and the fans.
Henderson and Franklin aren't crying at each other though it seems. I think they got people in their own division to worry about still.
But anyways, I don't blame Sylvia in the least for wanting to fight PRIDE fighters. People have him getting beat by 10 PRIDE fighters even. It's ridiculous, and if he takes on a Nog. Nog is going to have a shitfest trying to take him down, it's a very bad match up for him. The point is though, Sylvia has nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain. So he'll scream and yell until he gets what he wants, and I hope to hell it happens so he can have his answers.
