it's not good for our sport to be partly owned by fake pro wrestling.

Actually, from what I've read, it isnt. And I certainly hope it isnt because the fighters are still not getting paid much considering what they do, and if this is the best they can achieve, MMA will never grow.

And how would this change MMA for 5 years? This would only change UFC, and not all that much. Unless there's an announcement about cross promotion, etc....... yawn.

People sell gold mines all the time, literally and figuratively. You can only get a little gold out at a time. When you sell, you price it based on the estimated amount of gold still left inside. Selling out when the sport is at its apex is actually a solid financial move. They sell based on estimated future value of the company, and if this MMA craze falters, well thats the new owners problem.
Buy low, sell high, that's pretty much basic investing.

The real question isn't how is Vince going to do in the sport, it's why are the Fertittas bringing in another powerhouse? Seems like all the old murmers [of the UFC failing as the other "New-Pride"s emerge] might have some substance. Look at all the fighters that were either booted from or left on a bad note from the UFC. Other organizations are the way of the future, they just all seem poorly structured right now and need more time to flourish.
