For the sake of MMA I hope you're right. For some reason this seems like the kind of shit that could go down. If somehow true this is end of MMA. This is it.
Done, son!

I would like to know where you get that the UFC is 350 million in debt

CROSS PROMOTIONS is the announcement. 5yr contract!!!
I still don't see how this would change the course of MMA for the next 5 years. I can't see where this would be good for the sport, for the UFC or for the fans. Connections are great but it seems that things are expanding just fine without Vince McMahon. I just saw an interview with Dana White saying how he and the people at the UFC are fans and actually care about the sport whereas other organizations (EXC) are only in it for the money. Now are we supposed to believe that Vince McMahon loves the sport so much that he wants to buy part of the company? No he will be one of the same that Dana was talking so much shit about and be in his company. If this is true I will lose alot of respect and admiration for the UFC. The good old days might definitly be over.
On another note the Fertittas were just featured in last years Forbes 100 list (pretty high at that). I understand they are in debt but to be in that magazine they couldn't be hurting too bad. Plus smart people never boast how incredibly well they are doing because then the good old IRS will come looking for their cut. I'm not implying they are doing anything illegal but peoples money is one of the most private things to alot of them.
And... the announcement can not be a fight because a fight will not affect anything except for a few months.

wow...
If this is true the credibility of the UFC may go down... We all know WWE has a predetermined winner in every matchup.....people will be saying the exact same thing about the UFC.....

you know, as crazy as this rumor sounds, i would definately not rule it out. Think about the current situation.
Dana in the past, has NOT denied the possibility of selling the UFC. He even went on to say that should the price be right, he would sell it.
Secondly, the UFC would be able to capture the mainstream WWE audience which is a HUGE moneymaker. This makes so much economic sense.
Thirdly, the WWE has experience in running shows for years now. Weather or not they decide to leverage off WWE experience and make the UFC more PRIDE-like with the crazy entrances and themes, if the UFC wanted to do it, they could do it now.
Fourthly, the WWE is a public company with lots of cash and equity. They can finance their global expansion through the use of this cash and, unlike a private company, can continue to finance their operations by issuing more equity. Or, they can buy out the company as a subsidiary of the WWE and make the UFC go public on its own.
Most importantly, this can make Dana White filthy rich. He would have the best of both worlds. He makes the money, and he can also control the organization and steer it in the direction that he wants.
He previously mentioned last week that his announcement would change the landscape of MMA in the coming years. If there is any announcement, it wouldnt surprise me if it was this.
I'm sorry, but signing Mayweather and bringing Anderson Silva up to LHW aint gonna do shit for the landscape of MMA.
I know this sounds crazy, but it could be true. It's no coincidence that WWE is also holding a conference on that very same day.

Dana has said the company will go public over his dead body.
& Dana buying out the company from his friends? (Zuffa = guys who MADE Dana and put him on the map, also his friends)
Also McMahon robs UFC of some credibility.
However, there is SOME sense here so who knows.
I thought they had a deal with FOX or HBO.

Kindly STFU you anti-UFC fool. The Affliction card looks awesome, and I enjoy Dream, but the UFC/Zuffa is tops in the MMA dept, their success over the years clearly shows that. They've always been the most legit org in MMA
