On my local sports radio station every week they have an update from the Fight Network breaking down what is happening in the fight world, and they said the big announcement is that NYC is going to sanction MMA. The reason it was delayed is because it got unexpectedly voted down, they will be re-voting on Monday.

That makes sence why the UFC delayed their announcement. However this is not a major announcement worthy of this hype. Why would anyone care if you live out of NYC. Also how would this change MMA forever? How funny would this be if this was the supposed announcement and then it got voted down again. I'd like to see Dana pull a rabbit out after that.

I just got off the phone with Dana and he said he got all the PHDs in the UFC together and they figured out how to take advantage of coldfusion as well as how to feed all the starving children.

Thank God for MMA and all the PhDs they employ!

They bought the Yamma and the IFL to create a new mega fighting surface, some sort of octohexayamma.

The annoucement is a contest to name this ball of pure awesome.

I am sure it would not benefit you living in a trailer park far into the rural mountains of the South or Midwest.

Also, Dana might need to pull a rabbit out of the hat, rather he needs to pass the "envelope" under the table.

I like the idea of Instant replay...i know this has been discussed, but iam surprised no one thinks the announcement could be something of this nature. This could be the direction the sport is heading like White said.
