No, they're both contracted to fight in the UFC, so really, it's a UFC vs. UFC fight.

Sorta like when Fedor and Nog went at it. RINGS took the bragging rights! Haha! Nuts on PRIDE because I'm sure RINGS was laughin their asses off that two of their best fighters were taken from them leaving them in a pile of their own shit. Ha ha!

Yeah it is stupid really. I'm sure Dana wanted Vanderlei vs. Liddell, but they couldn't hold onto their belts. Besides that people still think shogun rua is number 1 in the LHW division. If he destroys Griffin, he should get a title shot against the winner immediately so everyone will know for sure, without a doubt, who the number one LHW fighter in the world is.

All the advertising hype is that it's a unifying match for both PRIDE & UFC titles. And no mater how you wanna position it, both fighters are products of Pride.

WOW?
Then when Saku / Wanderlei fought in Pride it was really UFC vs UFC since they both fought in the UFC before Pride.
