UFC 62 payout by MMAweekly

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...=2570&zoneid=2

Here is MMA Weekly's article on UFC 62 payouts. They seem to make the assumption that people will compare the UFC to WWE based on not wanting fighters salaries released. I think that is stretching it a bit. Personally, I prefer others not to know what I make. It is none of their business. I think Dana is right in saying that it can cause problems in your life when other people know what you make.

I also noticed that the review section to rate articles is no longer there.

250,000 grand for around 2 minutes of work!!! Not shabby liddel. I know he trains and all that shit but still. 250 grand is good money. Babalu only got 21 grand...if i was him i would bolt to another promotion.

Zuffa president Dana White has said in numerous interviews over the years that he would prefer for the UFC's fighter salary information to not be publicly available -

I'm sure that the fighters are all making more money than is said. I just wonder how.
I own my own business and have some income that is not reported to the government, and that I pay my employees "under the table". But that income is limited, I don't see Zuffa having a ton of money that isn't disclosed to the public or reported to the government. I'm sure they get audited as they are such a big company.

Obviously they make money from endorsements, I wonder how else they get paid that is coming out of Zuffa's pockets. Maybe Dana disquises some of the money and pays them for appearences and weigh-ins and stuff that isn't actually part of the fight and therefore doesn't have to be disclosed?? Any other ideas??

What a piece of crap that article is, how fucking biased. So he compares the UFC to team-based leagues with huge histories and the WWE. How about boxing, it's closest real competitor?

What's funny is that only an idiot like Trembow would write an article like that. Nobody else (that matters, at least) is comparing MMA to WWE right now, especially over something as stupid as the publicity of fighter's wages. It's a made up angle.
