UFC 61 is a big disappointment

Tim Sylvia Vs. Andrei Arlovski
- Judges's scores are unfair, AA boxing movement are amazing but no takedown efforts. Sylvia just stood still and take shots. AA did more punches and kicking than Sylvia. AA deserves the scores. UFC is bias--trying to protect their own fighters because Franklin and Matt are in the same corner/team as Tim.

Tito Ortiz Vs. Ken Shamrock
- Referee stopage too soon. UFC is trying to protect Tito because he obviously can sells ticket.

I am not going to buy UFC's PPV anymore. I'll just get it for free the next time. I am very very dissapointed--very big upset!!!

UFC is in a major slump, their match ups have been okay, just shitty luck I guess.

I definatly had sylvia winning the fight at the end. Andrei Arlovski had good movement but obviously took a lot of shots. He was rocked in one of the rounds and cut in another. In the last round Sylvia landed the majority of the shots. It's true Arlovski's style is prettier but Sylvia's style was obviously more effective.

I thought the Tito v Ken fight was stopped a little early but he took 6 unanswered hard elbows straight to the head. He did nothing to defend himself and I could have seen 20 more to follow.

i didnt think it sucked

Yves and Joe went to war - so did burkman and neer - AA didnt win the fight - it was close - but you've got to BEAT the champion - AA didnt do it - he faded more toward the end than Tim did as well.

As for Ken/Tito - you're gay - another dumbass who wanted to see Ken Shamrock killed in the ring.

He was out - he was eatin big elbows, and wasnt defending - plain and simple.

Decent card - not the best, but decent for sure.

I agree it sucked. Normally I put off everything for the UFC fights. After last night UFC will not be the priority anymore.

When the best part of the night is when Wandy wears a Pride Tshirt in an UFC ring, then the matches blew hard.

Both main events were terribly disappointing but that's not UFCs fault. Tito just overwhelmed Ken and put an end to the fight quickly. AA and Time were both so gunshy that they never really got anything going. AA had that leg kick going for the first two rounds, then stopped. Tim landed a few big shots, but never followed up. AA never once tried for a takedown...wow!

Overall Card: 6/10
Wand/Chuck Announcement: Boosts it to 9/10

Sylvia clearly beat AA, landed the cleaner shots throughout, set the pace of every round, and threw AA off of his gameplan at the start of the third round, which is where AA abandoned his inside/outside leg kicks and seldom threw any more body shots, being sucked into a straight-up boxing match with Tim (and losing it) and Tito obliterated Ken and Herb Dean made a perfect stoppage. He was literally standing less than a foot away from Ken watching him mount absoluteley no defense (and this coming from a huge Ken fan, mind you).
You don't need to be in a coma to have a justified TKO stoppage.
