UFC 58 a little unfair..

UFC 58 is way unfair towards Canadians..

Im not bitching or complaining, but visiting the ufc's site and seeing some of the fights - it is just horrendous!

GSp/Penn and David/Frank are the only fights I see as being somewhat even..

The rest of them are just gonna be disastrous for Canada..

Edwards vs Hominick? What a joke, I hope Hominick doesn't get fatally injured

Fisher vs Stout? Come on man..

Oh, let me guess, this one will be close.. McDonald vs Lambert.. Lambert has six times the amount of fights under his belt!!

One might argue that Canada doesn't have many other better fighters to throw in here, and that is a possibility, but perhaps in that case the UFC should have put a different name to this event and put together some usa vs usa fights that would be evenly matched..

Im still ordering this event, I would pay the $40 to see the two main fights alone, but I couldn't help but say something about how unfair this looks on paper..

Tomorrow night is going to be a bad one for Canada!!

if Canadians take the two main events then the rest of the card is needed as a consolation prize (wont be much of one however).

Plus the Canadian ego is far less fragile, I don't think anyone realy gives a shit if the night ends up being 8-0 in favor of the US (aside from me feeling sorry for my boy Rush)

It's certainly favored towards the American side (Would you really expect them to make a card w/ more Canadians favored?) I'm thinking the Canadians have a better chance more and more though. I think GSP takes it, I think Loiseau has a good matchup although Franklin is the favorite, I really think Doerkson has a good chance against Marquardt. That's possibly 3/5 on the main ppv card.

I said it in an earlier post. This is a good card for Canada. It puts some big Canadian fighters in the spotlight. Canadian MMA is growing in popularity. It's fighters are thriving. Thy have a very legitimate chance in many of these fights. Let's see where it goes.

PS - Fischer is going to breeze through this fight after dropping 20+ pounds? That's a bold statement... That kind of weight loss is a big deal for anyone.

Who cares? Do you really base which fighters you like on what country they are from?

Odds are a lot closer on these fights than most on the last Pride card.
