UFC 54: Chubby Little Birthday Boy
I was just watching UFC 54 (I think...anyways, it was Liddell v Horn) and after Lidell and Horn walked to the ring, the crowd was jacked, Buffer was getting ready to announce the fighters. Then out of the blue he says something like "at this time, the UFC would like to wish a happy birthday to Joel Stein (don't remember his real name)" and the camera panned to some fruity looking chubster who looked awkwardly at the camera, which lingered on him for an agonizing 5 seconds or so.

It was a fantastic moment of unintentional comedy and a shitty way to interrupt the excitement and momentum leading up to the fight. Fortunately, the crowd booed pretty heavily. Anyone notice this and find it really poor timing and fucking awkward?

Yikes, not that I know of. He didn't look like it...and I actually work with the mentally challenged (that's where I'm posting from tonight--night shift)! So yeah, if so I hereby apologize to the lil' feller. He would get a high five from me and I'd call him a donkey or a turkey--that always cracks up the dudes I work with! Seriously.

i dunno at all really lol, thats the only reason i would think they would show him. but maybe he was just a fat chubby fan with a birthday
